To compare influencer costs in Vietnam and Thailand, put two quotes with the same scope side by side. Accounts in the 100,000-follower tier can still differ sharply in median views, audience purchasing power, production standard, rights and management support.

IMVN uses the factors below for first-pass planning, based on regional quotes and campaign operations. Use them for directional comparison, then replace them with brief-specific quotes from each market.

A quick like-for-like comparison

TierVietnam baselineThailandHow to read it
Nano/Micro1.0×1.1–1.6×Supply, niche and management have a large effect
Mid-tier1.0×1.2–1.8×Compare median views and content quality
Macro1.0×1.3–2.0×Rights and exclusivity widen the range
Celebrity/Mega1.0×1.5–3.0×Quote separately; do not infer from followers

If a Vietnamese micro creator’s base content fee is USD 500, a 1.2× factor only tells the team to hold roughly USD 600 for a comparable creator in Thailand. Performance, format, rights, timing and documents still move the number. Do not use the factor to force a negotiation price.

Marketing team normalizing creator quotes, usage rights and Vietnam campaign costs

Read the factors with the Vietnam Influencer Pricing Guide 2026. A market with a lower posting fee can still cost more once production, logistics, management and tax are included.

Market conditions in Thailand that move cost

  • Thailand’s creator market has a longer commercial history, so management, production and rights are often itemized.
  • Bangkok creators carry higher production costs and opportunity costs; rush work or location shoots can move the quote quickly.
  • Travel, beauty, food and LGBTQ+ niches have strong supply, but proven performers are not automatically cheap.
  • Product files, claims or permits that are not ready can delay a campaign for months; delay cost does not appear in the creator fee.

Compare cost against verified reach

  1. Normalize video length, platform, revision rounds and live-post term.
  2. Use median views across the latest 10–20 posts; remove viral and unusually weak outliers.
  3. Check audience country, language, age and signs of invalid engagement.
  4. Price paid-media rights, exclusivity and reposting as separate lines.
  5. Use CPM on verified reach as one signal while retaining content quality, brand fit and delivery reliability.

Tax and documents can reverse the apparent saving

A creator quoting USD 800 net can cost more than one quoting USD 900 gross if the buyer must gross up tax, pay bank charges, contract through management, or cannot obtain acceptable documents. Procurement should compare payable total cost, not the amount received by the creator.

The cross-border creator tax, invoices and payment documents guide provides a five-market checklist. In Vietnam, the VND 1 billion annual threshold under Decree 141/2026/ND-CP is not a tax exemption letter for each booking; the recipient’s status and documents still need verification.

A USD 30,000 regional budget example

LineShareAmountWhy it stays separate
Creator content fees50%USD 15,000Split between Vietnam and Thailand after normalization
Usage/paid media10%USD 3,000Do not hide it in the fee
Production and logistics10%USD 3,000Product, shipping, travel and venues
Local operations15%USD 4,500Sourcing, negotiation, review and reporting
Tax, documents and bank5%USD 1,500Finalize against the contract route
Contingency10%USD 3,000Schedule change, reshoot or replacement

The table shows one allocation model. An awareness campaign may move money from production to macro creators, while a conversion program may retain more micro creators and reserve money for tracking codes, whitelisting or extra content.

Choose the operating model before requesting quotes

Choose one model first: contract every creator directly, appoint an agency in each country, or use one regional lead coordinating local teams. Each option creates a different number of contracts, payment flows, issue-response speed and fees.

IMVN has companies in the same business ecosystem in Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia. Depending on the project, a client may contract in the delivery market or through a lead country. The final structure still depends on country, recipient status, service type, usage rights and the client’s accounting requirements.

Read direct creator contracts versus a local agency and multi-market creator management. Once a brief is ready, IMVN can return a comparison sheet with fee, rights, tax status, documents, timeline and risk notes for each creator.
